Nuclear family consists of parents and their independent children but a joint family consists of grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and in-laws.
In a joint family, the parents can rely on grandparents to take care and not hire a nanny or a babysitter.
On the other hand, problems are going in a joint family and nuclear family people can focus and complete their work without any disturbance.
In a joint family, people can ask for help whenever they want and have a strong bond with their relatives but they don’t have proper privacy. But in a nuclear family, there is complete privacy and a child can focus on studies more effectively.
There are some advantages and disadvantages of a joint family upon a child which is that it helps the child to develop interpersonal skills which means that the child can socialize with people more easily.
The disadvantage of the joint family is that it can lead to loss of self-identity. It means that the head of the family takes all the decision which can hamper the evolution of the children.
The advantages of a nuclear family are that it prepares the child for the real world
As there is no proper family to care or comfort you in a cruel, hard world.
